This is the third time that the Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships are to be held in Italy,
in a season that will have its international epicenter in our country. This event, from 15 to 22 June, will
have a particular flavor in fact, the cross country race will represent the general test before the next
Olympics.
The Bike & Trials World Championship will return to Italy after three years, since it was last held in
Livigno. But, the edition in Val di Sole has a special meaning. In fact, the event precedes the
Olympics; two months before the Games in Peking, it is the most important race for all those involved.
Obviously, the two cross country races will gain most of the attention. Most of the important athletes
will find it mandatory to participate as they will have the opportunity to compete directly with many
skilled riders.
